Lead Clinical Site Coordinator

The Lead Clinical Site Co-ordinators will provide line management to the Clinical Site Co-ordinators on the three sites and in the control centre as well as to clinical administration teams. They will be responsible for the collection of bed management and performance related data to support operational management, audit and external requirements.

The Lead Clinical Site Co-ordinators will work in the Control Centre and all three Trusts on occasions.

Main duties will include leading the coordination of admissions, transfers and discharges for all patients at Mid Essex, Southend & Basildon 24/7, 365 days a year. They will also lead in the utilisation of beds to the hospital’s maximum potential so providing an efficient service with sensitivity in the distribution of outliers and ensure appropriate use of beds and resources while maintaining clinical quality and safety.

Understanding and utilising Teletracking to support the flow of patients through the hospital is a crucial part of the role of all clinical site coordinators and the lead clinical site coordinators are responsible for overseeing the utilisation of the system
