**About the role and the team**

As Young People Support Worker, you will work in a team that is responsible for delivering an assessment, support and move on service to care leavers (aged 16-18) in supported accommodation so that they can develop the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

You will manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs. This will involve running group sessions and other key activities within the supported accommodation to help them progress towards independence.

In addition, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

**About you**:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience in working with care leavers, young people or other vulnerable groups
- Experience of Safeguarding in children and adults and operating safeguarding requirements and procedures
- Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning tools
- Experience of managing a case load, recording and record keeping
- Experience of lone working
