Trainee Improvement Fellowship opportunity for Trainees in the School of Medicine - Thames Valley

Trainee Improvement Fellowships (TIF) are for current Thames Valley medical trainees. They are awarded on a secondment basis and require the approval of the trainee's Educational Supervisor and Training Program Director.

The Trainee Improvement Fellowship is an innovative position for trainees with an interest in educational delivery, quality improvement and NHS leadership. The Trainee Improvement Fellowship will have an emphasis on projects which improve the conditions of medical training.

This particular TIF is aimed at School of Medicine trainees. Any proposed fellowship project should align with the development of the electronic Learning Management System (eLMS), currenty being developed within the SoM, and have an overarching aim of improving IMT teaching including PACES preparation.

The trainee will play an important role in enhancing links and improving engagement between trainees and senior clinical leaders within NHS England (TV) There will be an opportunity for TIFs to join the emerging leaders course at OUH.

In addition, the trainee will report quarterly on their activity to the Trainee Advisory Committee and will work with the incumbent Chair to identify and develop work of benefit to the wider trainee body.

The post will require commitment of up to 40% WTE to the fellowship role with the remaining time to be devoted to clinical work within the parent speciality. Less than full time trainees (LTFT) are also encouraged to apply.

The trainee will play an important role in enhancing links and improving engagement between trainees and senior clinical leaders within NHSE TV.
