As Community Engagement Practitioner within the multi-agency Youth Offending Service, you will be highly motivated to co-ordinate a bespoke reparation service for children in their local community and provide support across the wider team, You will be available to work weekdays and weekends to support Young People with their reparation tasks

**About the role**:
As the Community Engagement Officer, you will be required to co-ordinate a bespoke reparation service for children aged 10-17 years old in the community on weekdays and at weekends and facilitate community engagement initiatives. You will be involved in the screening and coordination of out of court disposals from the police, to inform managers decision making for the allocation of work. You will complete direct work and support the wider YOS team with contacts for children on intensive orders. The role will require you:

- To work with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to develop placements for YOS children to complete reparation activities
- To supervise reparation activity on site on weekends.
- To support with recruitment and training of volunteers who will be supervising with reparation activities
- To support YOS children with their understanding of restorative underpinnings of reparation and how it can prevent re-offending in the future
- To be involved in the screening of information from the police and completion of partner agency checks to enable appropriate Early Intervention support to be coordinated and delivered.
- To contact families where a need for Early Intervention support has been identified to offer bespoke interventions through voluntary engagement.
- To provide identified support sessions to YOS children who are receiving intensive YOS orders. This will be on a case by case basis and in liaison with YOS officer(s) supervising cases.

**About you**:
