Join our team at Buckinghamshire Council as an Inclusion Practitioner and help us promote inclusive practice in schools and settings across the county.
Contract: We have 4 fixed term postitions available for the duration of one year.
About us
Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses. We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.
Buckinghamshire is an ambitious, rapidly growing county, and our economy is one of the strongest in the country. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and ranks as one of the top rural areas to live in the UK and yet it is incredibly well connected– only an hour from London on the train. The county has a rich history and heritage and is the birthplace of the international Paralympic movement.
We are looking for motivated, ambitious and inspiring people to join us on our journey. You will be entitled to a range of different benefits to make sure you are happy both at work and at home.
About the role
As an Inclusion Practitioner you will provide high-quality support, guidance, modelling and training to promote inclusive practice in schools and settings. You will work alongside staff to support individuals and small groups of children and young people with SEND and monitoring the impact of additional support to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
Support with individual plans and strategies. Give advice on appropriate strategies to be used on an individual and whole school basis. Monitor the impact of additional support on follow-up visits. Assist staff with monitoring, recording, and evaluating pupils' needs.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual with experience working with children and young people with a range of SEND. You should have a sound knowledge of evidence-based approaches to support school-age children with SEND.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A degree or relevant professional qualification. A valid driving licence and own transport. Excellent interpersonal skills.
