About the role

As an Inclusion Practitioner you will provide high-quality support, guidance, modelling and training to promote inclusive practice in schools and settings. You will work alongside staff to support individuals and small groups of children and young people with SEND and monitoring the impact of additional support to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Support with individual plans and strategies.
  • Give advice on appropriate strategies to be used on an individual and whole school basis.
  • Monitor the impact of additional support on follow-up visits.
  • Assist staff with monitoring, recording, and evaluating pupils' needs.
About you

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual with experience working with children and young people with a range of SEND. You should have a sound knowledge of evidence-based approaches to support school-age children with SEND.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or relevant professional qualification.
  • A valid driving licence and own transport.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels

About the Business Unit

Ensuring that children and young people in Buckinghamshire reach their potential is a primary focus within our Education service.
