Semh Learning Mentor

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies, resilience skills, and emotional regulation techniques.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to coordinate additional support services for students as needed.
- Support teachers and staff in understanding and addressing the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students within the classroom.
- Monitor and track the progress of students receiving support, and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote positive mental health and well-being.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience in working with students facing complex challenges.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
