**Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a community special school in Warrington. The school require an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant to support learners with SEMH needs, 8.40am-3.30am.**

As a specialist school for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, the school prides itself on striving to provide fantastic teaching and learning in an inclusive environment where all learners are cared for, valued and respected. All pupils are involved in all aspects of our broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum, personalised to meet individual need.

The school’s most recent Ofsted report remarked that, ‘Pupils’ physical and emotional well-being are at the heart of the school’s work. Staff work constructively with pupils to help them overcome the social and emotional barriers that have obstructed their learning in the past. Staff get to know pupils extremely well and are patient, understanding and caring. Staff use praise and encouragement to motivate pupils and enable them to experience success. These positive relationships support pupils to settle into school and gain the confidence they need to attend regularly and participate in learning.’
- **What we’re looking for**:_
- A recognised qualification in Teaching and Learning or Childcare or experience working with children in a formal setting e.g school, residential, sports coaching.
- An interest in supporting children with additional needs.
- A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £50.
- At least two references including most recent/current employer.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
