Overview:
**_ Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference. _**

As a Duty Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in managing the reception area, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for individuals seeking support.

With this role you’ll be working as part of the Duty team, based in Trafalgar House.

The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities extend to managing appointments, updating contact details, handling walk-ins and new referrals, and conducting necessary triages.

Additionally, you will be responsible for issuing Naloxone, Needle Exchange, or Blood Borne Virus screens in the absence of the Harm Reduction Team, and conducting 'one-off' social services drug testing as needed.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you so click apply.
