Community Engagement Volunteer

Overview:
**_ Do you have a few hours a month to spare and enjoy being out in the community and talking to people?_**
We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to help support our service as a Community Engagement Volunteer by raising awareness of our free stop smoking service.
The base for this role will be:
Gipsyville Action Centre,
728-730 Hessle Road
Kingston upon Hull,
Yorkshire
HU4 6JA
The ideal person will be flexible and able to volunteer on an ad hoc basis a few times a month.
It’s a fun opportunity to meet new people, build on your skills, and make a real difference in people’s lives and health.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be helping at community, health, and workplace events across the city, to encourage people to get the support they need to quit smoking.
**What we can offer you**
As you're giving up your time to help others, we’ll make sure you have all the support and training you need. You’ll also be able to do lots of online courses to learn new skills that will be useful for lots of health and social care jobs too.
Last year our volunteers earned 192 new qualifications and over 150 volunteers used their experience to start a new job in something that they love.
