**We have an exciting opportunity to join our Student Communities team. In this role you will work with student groups and support them in delivering safe, accessible student-led hobbies and interest societies and support networks.**

- Being the recognised representative channel between students and the University of Hull and other representative bodies.

**About the Role**
**Service Delivery**- Working with elected/appointed Part-Time Officers, student representatives and key stakeholders, the post holder will support and raise the profile of student communities, particularly Hobbies and Interests Societies and Support Networks.-
- Support student volunteers in developing and leading high-quality student-led hobbies and interests societies and support network activities, increasing student participation in these student community groups.
- Support student volunteers to facilitate and co-create taster and one-off events and activities to provide light-touch introductory engagement opportunities for students.
- As the direct support for our Student Media groups, the post holder will oversee all content created to ensure compliance with media law, review licences, and raise the profile of student media.
- Ensure activities are safe, inclusive, and accessible, alongside supporting projects and events, and make sure the HUSU Members Code of Conduct and policies are followed.
- Regularly research with Students to co-produce HUSUs student communities programme throughout the year.
- Working to budget, plan, deliver, evaluate, and promote participation in HUSUs hobbies and interests societies, support networks, and other events.
- Raise the profile of student-led support networks, campaigns and inclusivity concerns such as, but not limited to, accessibility, building community, and inclusive representation within HUSU and the University
- Support hobbies and interests societies and support networks in leading their own Give It A Go taster sessions as part of the Freshers events programme. This will include contributing to the training of student volunteers to enable them to run high-quality, safe taster sessions.
- Support hobbies and interests societies and support networks with concerns and mediation to help them reach resolutions that ensure the safety and well-being of all members.
- Work with Presidents and the wider team on the Reward and Recognition framework that hobbies and interests societies and support networks can participate in, working closely with the President team to make ongoing improvements to the schemes.-
Support and encourage hobbies and interests in fundraising activities for their activities and for external charity organisations where appropriate.
- Undertake face-to-face and digital engagement with students, thinking creatively and innovatively about methods of encouraging meaningful student participation in Union activities.
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of training and developmental activities for our Part-Time Officers and student volunteers to enhance their graduate employability and support them in creating high-quality, safe opportunities for all University of Hull students, with a focus on student-led hobbies and interests societies and support networks.
- Work alongside the Presidents, Part-Time Officers and student representatives to support and facilitate meetings such as Societies Council and wider student and President-led engagement opportunities and events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with colleagues across HUSU, the University and, where appropriate, external partners to ensure the delivery of HUSUs student communities-focused activities.
