Our client is now looking for an Assistant Stage Hand.

Summary

The Assistant Stage Hand supports the VP of Production & Studio Operations in daily physical production activities. This role involves detailed oversight of various operational tasks, maintaining professionalism and politeness, especially during stressful periods, and working closely with clients to ensure their needs are met efficiently.

Overall Responsibility & Job Purpose

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facility and Stage Management:

Monitor and manage stages, support offices, and facility locations.

Assist security and parking teams in monitoring client use of studio parking facilities and request additional guards as needed.

1. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Address and report any issues with studio facilities to relevant departments.

Resolve problems arising from client production demands and their use of the studio.

Ensure clients comply with studio policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

1. Client Interaction and Support:

Act promptly to resolve client issues or find someone on the studio lot who can help.

Gather information for other studio departments to better service client needs.

Coordinate with studio departments to ensure speedy and efficient delivery of services.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

Complete daily production reports accurately and thoroughly for all stages and locations.

Conduct daily stage checks and handle corresponding client paperwork.

1. Client Check-in and Check-out:

Log current studio conditions when clients check in and out of stages and support spaces.

1. Safety and Maintenance:

Report all repair and maintenance work as required.

Inspect stages for possible safety violations.

1. Client Tours and Walks:

Assist the stage manager with client walks when needed.

1. Operational Coordination:

Work on improving studio operations.

Coordinate with production teams on prep and shooting schedules to ensure adequate studio coverage.

Ensure all areas are clean, presentable, and prepared for client use.

1. Maintenance Notifications:

Notify tenants of upcoming maintenance work that may impact their schedules, in agreement with facilities teams.

1. Client Handover:

Be present during client move-ins and move-outs to ensure smooth transitions.

1. Financial Tracking:

Review, track, and maintain the purchase order log, liaising with the studio accounts team for accurate financial documentation.

1. Weekend Coordination:

Send out weekend call sheets internally, informing the team of weekend work schedules and special requests.

1. Event Assistance:

Assist the Marketing team with special events, including seasonal decorations, tenant gifts, and other events.

1. General Support:

Coordinate trash/debris removal daily with production teams.

Supervise crews for moving studio furniture as needed.

Perform other duties as requested by the Stage Hand or VP of Studio Operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a commitment to maintaining a clean and presentable studio environment are essential. The Assistant Stage Hand plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and client satisfaction
