The Opportunity
Due to an increase in project success, our client is currently searching for an experienced CE&I Safety Systems Engineer, to join their highly competent workforce of nuclear specialists, to help ensure maximum safety is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. If you're an experienced CE&I Safety Systems Engineer seeking a new opportunity, our client has opened the door for you to take the next step in your career.

Estimated Duration – 12 months+
This role has been deemed inside of IR35

Your duties and responsibilities will be
You will review/input into a number of Machinery Safety system documents i.e. URS etc. and feed comments back to the Lead engineers, give guidance to the engineering design team, reviewing engineering design work packages.
As part of this work is working alongside other engineers to approach suppliers and to gather data for optioning to substantiate equipment for a weigh system, to support / input optioning report ready for optioning down selection. You will have the following qualifications & experience
CE&I Safety Systems e.g. BS 61508 and BS EN 13849.
Delivering work in line with the Machinery Directory.
Understand the deliverables of each CE&I area including Safety Systems, Environmental Monitoring, Security.
Electrical Power and Lighting, Fire Systems, Control Systems and other Services.
Checking and reviewing of Safety System documents in line with the machinery directive.
Liaising with vendors / suppliers (Weigh scales/Weighing Systems).
Competent in the application of CDM Regulations.
Competent in the application of IET wiring Regulations.
Have the ability to work as part of an Integrated delivery team, and individually, working within sometimes restrictive time constraints.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people at all levels.It’s great if you also have the following
Experience with Safety System design.
Experience in EMPHAIS Assessments.
Experience delivering against ES_1_2190_1 and EG_1_2104_1
Preferred Academic Qualification: MEng.
