The Role

Due to a surge in project achievements, our client is actively seeking a skilled CE&I Safety Systems Engineer to join their esteemed team of nuclear experts. Your primary focus will be to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and provide input on various Machinery Safety system documents, such as URS, and relay feedback to Lead Engineers.
  • Guide the engineering design team by reviewing engineering design work packages.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to engage suppliers and gather data for substantiating equipment for weighing systems, supporting the optioning report for selection processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of CE&I Safety Systems, including BS 61508 and BS EN 13849.
  • Experience delivering projects in accordance with the Machinery Directive.
  • Familiarity with the deliverables across CE&I areas, including Safety Systems, Environmental Monitoring, Security, Electrical Power and Lighting, Fire Systems, Control Systems, and other services.
  • Proficient in reviewing Safety System documents in line with the Machinery Directive.
  • Experience liaising with vendors and suppliers related to weighing systems.
  • Competence in applying CDM Regulations and IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Able to work effectively as part of an integrated delivery team and independently, even under tight deadlines.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in Safety System design.
  • Familiarity with EMPHAIS Assessments.
  • Experience delivering against ES_1_2190_1 and EG_1_2104_1.
