Pay Rate: £80 - £100 per day (in line with experience)

Supply Desk are working with a large primary school in Chatham, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, who are seeking a strong Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the teacher in the Early Years classroom and manage a group of key children. This role requires experience in working with Early Years and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Early Years Practitioner who can confidently support three and four-year-olds with their learning. The successful candidate will provide a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment, establish positive relationships with children, their families, and colleagues, and have the passion and commitment to be a Key Person.

Key Responsibilities:

Protecting and safeguarding children.
Committing to the safety and wellbeing of all children and nursery users, respecting confidentiality.
Being forward-thinking and contributing to the development of the nursery.
Following daily routines and contributing to the smooth running of the nursery.
Settling in new children and providing ongoing support for them and their families as a Key Person.
Interacting positively and enthusiastically with children, considering their individual needs and abilities.
Providing a friendly, caring, and relaxed environment to promote and develop children’s learning effectively.
Contributing to planning and resourcing a stimulating, purposeful environment that supports learning both indoors and outdoors.
Planning, organizing, and carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.
Recording each child’s progress, reporting on achievements and areas for development.
Being accountable for the progress and outcomes of children in your key group.
Maintaining a ‘Learning Journey’ for each child to whom you are a Key Person.
Requirements:

Must hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification for early years.
Demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
