Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our ‘Outstanding’ SEND Provisions in Medway from September 2024 on a full time basis. The provision is based in Chatham and caters for children from 4 to 11 years with Autism. Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support the pupils on a 1:1 basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. Experience of working with children with special educational needs and particularly Autism is essential. However, we will also provide training.

Job Requirements

Experience supporting young adults or children in education (SEND settings would be preferable)
Caring and nurturing approach
Experience or willingness to assist with personal care
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least several months
