SEND Support Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as a 1:1/ 1:2 SEND Support Teaching Assistant in our EYFS setting.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to our SEND pupils, ensuring they receive the support they need to reach their full potential.
You will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development, and supporting the development of our pupils' communication and literacy skills.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, has excellent communication skills, and is able to build strong relationships with our pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in delivering the curriculum to SEND pupils
- Assist with the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEND, as required
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Support the development of social and emotional skills in pupils
- Assist with the preparation of resources and materials for lessons
