Fairmead is excited to present an exceptional opportunity on behalf of our valued and longstanding client, a reputable principal contractor based in Cambridge. We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join their existing team and oversee the final stages of a prestigious new build college project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the project to completion with a focus on high-quality finishes.
* Oversee all finishing trades, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
* Conduct thorough inspections of completed work, ensuring all details meet project specifications and client expectations.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
* Identify and resolve any issues or defects promptly to maintain project timelines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
Requirements:
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
* First Aid certificate.
* CSCS card.
* Extensive knowledge of internal finishes and keen eye for detail.
* Ideally from a trade background with significant experience in new build or refurbishment projects within the education or commercial sectors.
* Proven track record of success in similar roles, with strong references to support your application.
* Ability to work on site 6 to 7 days a week until the end of the contract.
Skills and Attributes:
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
* High level of organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
