Hours: 7:30 - 5:00 - Monday - Friday, no weekends
Responsibilities:
* Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
* Conduct thorough cost analysis of materials, labour, and equipment costs.
* Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for labour, materials, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
* Present estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner.
* Maintain accurate records of estimates, including any revisions or changes made throughout the bidding process.
* Collaborate with procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving Licence essential.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, materials, and costs.
* Proficient in using computer Excel spreadsheets & estimating tools.
* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
* Attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications.
