Production Process Technician – Oxfordshire – up to £38,000

Are you an experienced Production Technician with an interest in improving processes?

Would you like to develop you career working in injection moulding with a small but enterprising medical device company?

We are currently recruiting a Production Process Technician for specialist medical device company based in Oxfordshire that have been trading for over 100 years. They manufacture onsite using injection moulding machines and working with plastics, poly and PVC materials. The role of Production Process Technician is a new role but is due to a long standing member of staff retiring. This is a fantastic opportunity as there is scope to make this role your own and to develop into a project management role in the future overseeing continuous improvement changes.

The roles and responsibilities:

As Production Process Technician you will have an interesting and varied role with the following duties:

* Review production processes and machinery is at optimal level

* Suggest process improvements and production efficiencies

* Set production schedules

* Problem solving of issues and trouble shoot machinery faults

* Monitor compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Health and Safety procedures

* Help in daily operations such as cleaning and assembly of raw materials

* Record KPIs and trends in process performance

The requirements:

To be suitable for the role of Production Process Technician you will ideally have the following experience:

* Experience working with injection moulding machinery

* Machine shop skills, lathe, miller, setter etc

* Knowledge of experience of maintenance and troubleshooting injection moulding machinery

* Competent in the use of MS Office including Excel

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Experience working in a GMP or pharmaceutical / medical device environment would be desirable

The package:

The successful candidate for the role of Production Process Technician will receive the following package:

* Salary up to £38,000

* 25 days holidays plus bank holidays

* 4% pension contribution

* Working pattern is 9 day fortnight

* Monday – Thursday 7:15am – 5pm

* Friday week one 7:15-1pm

* Friday week two – day off

Location:

The role of Production Process Technician is based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire and is commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Abingdon and Cirencester.
