Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer – Oxfordshire – up to £45,000

We are currently recruiting a Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer for specialist medical device company based in Oxfordshire that have been trading for over 100 years. They manufacture onsite using injection moulding machines and working with plastics, poly and PVC materials. This company have substantial growth plans This is a fantastic opportunity as there is scope to make this role your own and to develop into a project management role in the future overseeing continuous improvement changes. They also work a 9-day fortnight with every other Friday off.
The roles and responsibilities:
As Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer you will have an interesting and varied role with the following duties:
* Review production processes and machinery is at optimal level
* Set production schedules
* Undertake effectiveness reviews
* Highlight opportunities for improvements in processes and production environment
* Problem solving of issues and trouble shoot issues before and decide to escalate to the production manager
* Ensure maintenance schedule is adhered to
* Record KPIs and trends in process performance
The requirements:
To be suitable for the role of Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer you will ideally have the following experience:
* Experience of working on process improvement projects
* You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* IT competent including use of MS Excel
* Understanding of production machinery & maintenance requirements
* Some experience of working in a GMP environment would be beneficial
The package:
The successful candidate for the role of Production Process Technician will receive the following package:
* Salary up to £45,000
* 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
* 4% pension contribution
* Working pattern is 9 day fortnight
* Monday – Thursday 7:15am – 5pm
* Friday week one 7:15-1pm
* Friday week two – day off
Location:
The role of Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer is based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire and is commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Abingdon and Cirencester.
