One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Street Scene Manager. This is a 3 month temporary contract with possible further extension based on budget and performance.

Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary

Working as part of a senior management team to deliver high standards of neighbourhood street scene services.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Managing one of four specialist services deployed within each of the four neighbourhood areas

* Managing one of the four neighbourhood areas and ensuring that specialist neighbourhood services are coordinated and integrated in their designated area neighbourhood.

* Contribute to the development of council policy and strategy relevant to the specialist role.

* Be the Council specialist advisor, understanding and tracking relevant developments including legal requirements, national and regional policy.

* Develop policy and strategies to ensure the continuous improvement

* Provide overall management of high quality specialist contracted, and/or direct services for the borough

* Ensure that resources are equitably deployed appropriate to the needs of the neighbourhood areas, and having regard to relevant policy and strategy

* Ensure that the services under their control are compliant with legislative requirements and best industry standards

* Work with the relevant specialist manager above to ensure that the specialist services deployed to their designated neighbourhood are meeting the needs of that area.

* Ensure that the area specific demands that impact on the street scene are understood and developed into integrated local action plans.
