JobSummary:

Tohelp our residents living in Camden s homes to have secure safe andaffordable housing that meets their ongoing needs and provide helpand assistance when they needit.

Toact as the lead for a team of up to 10 Neighbourhood Officers andprovide support in conjunction with their manager to a number ofcolocatedstaff.

Tosupport and coach members of the team. To understand what residentsneed and want and consider how best to deliver this. TheNeighbourhood Manager will understand patterns in resident demandsand unblock barriers getting in the way of this work. This postholder will identify gaps in skills knowledge and experience of theteam and work to fill these gaps; this includes recruitmenttraining supervision and disciplinary matters asappropriate.

Towork creatively and effectively with Service Managers and othercolleagues to develop maintain and review Camden s landlordservices. To monitor and evaluate the work of the service inconjunction with Neighbourhood Officers Team Leaders and multipleHeads of Service to ensure that measured data is being used tounderstand and improve the service. To take a designated or sharedrole in working with other services to understand interconnectionsand what needs to change to improve servicedelivery.

KeyDuties/Accountabilities

TheNeighbourhood Manager is responsible for maintaining an overview ofcurrent workloads of their Team working closely with theircolleagues in other localities to spot patterns and trends inresident demands and needs and contribute to monitoring the overalleffectiveness of the neighbourhood team in meetingpurpose;

Tounderstand residents properties and neighbourhoods incontext.

Todevelop skills and knowledge in one or more key areas to meetresidentsdemands.

Tooffer as part of a collaborative Neighbourhood Team one cleartrusted point of contact to resolve residents demands Helping staffto support residents to solve problems at their root cause to buildfuture strength in our communities and individuals; Activelylearning from situations and dealing with the consequences of anygaps in service e.g. formalcomplaints.

Toensure neighbourhood officers deal with issues as early as possibleand as much as possible pulling in support when needed to resolveresident issues in partnership with other officers services andorganisations.

Tolearn about the work and develop the service in line with systemsthinking principles to meet the changing needs ofresidents.

Tounderstand the team s capacity for reactive and proactivework.

Towork closely with and develop partnerships with other agenciesteams and colleagues to deliver a service consistent with customerschangingneeds.

Inconjunction with Community Safety and partner organisations addressantisocial behaviour problems in the area managed and make a majorcontribution towards improving local community safety/SNT/mentalhealthtrust/ASC.

Toact as lead contact for the District Management Committee; thisincludes preparing reports for DMC attending DMC meetings andensuring bids are progressed within the financial year. Supportstaff to engage with residents in theirneighbourhoods.

Topromote and engage in restorative principles and participatorypractice in working with ourresidents.

Tomanage the system of work at a locality level for up to 10officers

Tosupport problem solving with team members using systems thinkingprinciples

EssentialExperienceRequired:

Experience tospot patterns trends and blockages preventing an effective serviceand build evidence bases to support change isessential.

Experience ofworking closely with colleagues in other services to resolveproblems minimise duplication and to pull in colleagues andpartners where the skills or knowledge are not available in theNeighbourhood isessential.

EssentialQualificationRequired:

Generaleducation qualification isessential.

Additionalinformation tonote:

Working hours:36 hours per week.

An enhanced DBSis required for this role.
