London, United Kingdom PA Housing Full time

**We are improving our service to deliver better outcomes for our residents and creating several fantastic new roles to help us achieve that. If you care about making a difference and want to support our local communities, you are in the right place.**

**WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR OUR SCHEMES THAT ARE PRIMARILY BASED IN THE LONDON AREA. (LEWISHAM, BRENT, ISLINGTON, CAMDEN, HACKNEY & HARINGEY)**

**Additional role requirements**:

- Basic DBS check

**So what’s the role all about?**

Representing us on the frontline you will act as the face of PA Housing by being a positive ambassador for the services that we provide, working with both internal and external partners to deliver excellent services to our customers. You will take ownership of your own neighbourhood, making sure that it is clean and safe for our customers, whilst building positive relationships with customers in the local community.

Through proactive communication via a variety of platforms including social media you will keep customers updated on what is happening in their neighbourhood, identifying and resolving any issues.

This role can offer hybrid working, meaning you will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days a week with the rest being from home, however we may need you to be in the office more within your probation, whilst you get up to speed.

**Neighbourhood Coordinator Q&A...**

**What are the main responsibilities of your role?**

We have many responsibilities which include, inspections, raising repairs requests for communal areas, visits to new tenants and generally building relationships within the community. Some other responsibilities would be carrying out Tenancy audits, checking buildings are free from fire risks, helping to gain access to properties that other teams are unable to access and completing personal evacuation forms for specific residents.

**What skills do you need to do your job well?**

**What initially attracted you to PA Housing?**

I have worked for PA for about 12 years started in the call centre. I then moved to another department before becoming an NC (Neighbourhood Coordinator). Initially, I applied for PA as a friend was working for the company and advised the staff were very nice and friendly.

**What advice would you give to somebody just starting as a Neighbourhood Coordinator?**

I would advise them to be open minded and be prepared to work hard. It seems like a lot when you first start but if you stick with it, you will find your own rhythm and way of working to be able to hit all of your targets and achieve the best results for our tenants.

**What is your favourite thing about being a Neighbourhood Coordinator?**

I love meeting new people from all walks of life. I love knowing that I have helped someone and knowing I have made their day better. I like the variety of different tasks that we have as it keeps the job interesting. I also like that PA enables me to work on a flexible basis, meaning I can have better control over my diary. The other NC’s in my team all work very well together and help each other as much as we can. I also enjoy working with people across the wider business.

**To be successful in this role, we’d be looking for the following**
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Can confidently describe yourself as a 'people person'
