Head of Business Development

Are you a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of the UK electrical industry? Europa is excited to announce a new strategic role, Head of Business Development where you will be at the forefront of driving sustainable revenue growth across the UK.

We are seeking a top-tier consultative leader who can leverage a strong industry network and has a proven track record in building and leading high-performance business development teams

In return we will offer you a competitive salary from £60,000 per annum dependent upon experience, Company car or Car allowance and quarterly sales incentive, 23 days holiday which increases with service & the option to purchase more, increased pension contribution, BUPA private healthcare with the option to add family members, 3 x life assurance & EAP, companywide bonus scheme, free onsite parking useful for travel from Luton Airport.

The role is Nationwide with a requirement to travel across the UK as well as regular attendance to HQ in Luton.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively build a project pipeline of strategic solutions for customers across the UK.

* Cultivate strong, value-driven relationships with key decision-makers across the electrical components value chain to maximize sales opportunities and growth.

* Identify and secure new business opportunities in emerging markets and innovative product designs, working closely with customers and suppliers to generate new revenue streams.

* Lead the introduction of cutting-edge smart technologies into target sectors.

* Develop and execute strategic account plans, expanding our footprint in each account and meeting monthly and annual sales targets.

* Stay ahead of industry trends through market research, informing business development and marketing strategies.

* Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to create customized solutions for customers.

* Represent Europa at industry events and conferences, building relationships with potential clients.

* Drive the adoption of sales enablement tools, including CRM systems, to track performance, provide sales reports, and inform strategic decisions.

* Ensure a seamless customer experience through ongoing communication with internal and external sales teams.

What We’re Looking For:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, proficiency in the 365 suite, and experience with CRM systems (D365 is a plus).

* Deep knowledge of the electrical components sales process and industry, including relevant legislation.

* Expertise in building and nurturing customer relationships to develop sustainable pipelines.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, but also independently as needed.

* Strong time management skills to balance pipeline development and administrative tasks.

* Established commercial relationships across multiple industries are highly desirable.

* Experience in technical sales within the electrical or similar industry is a plus.

* Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with a strong conversion record.

* Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to developing a high-performing sales function.

* Eligibility to work across the UK and availability to commute to our Luton HQ for training and meetings as required.
