Nationwide, United Kingdom NDT Resources ltd Full time

Want to join a world-leading high-tech company on a mission to develop and manufacture best-in-class Non-destructive Testing (NDT) robotic systems, instruments, software, controllers and probes for the nuclear energy, space, aerospace and medical sectors?
My client is based in Croatia, but operates globally. They have been at the cutting edge of NDT technology and services for almost 35 years. Their primary focus and success has been the creation of inspection solutions for hazardous areas in the nuclear sector, using systems they've developed entirely in-house.
For example, they develop systems for the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project, an international nuclear fusion engineering project and the greatest scientific project in the world.
The foundation for all their new products is a passion for new technologies. They regard the most important resources of the company to be their members, their knowledge, their values and motivation.
The company is expanding rapidly and they would like to complement their team with a highly qualified person willing to work in a dynamic environment as Head of R&D.
You would manage and mentor a team of highly qualified design engineers. The R & D team include mechanical, electrical and software design engineers. The critical expertise for the Head of R & D is mechanical design. You will have full P & L responsibilities for all projects.
Equipment to be designed will include robots, fabricated supports for NDT equipment, NDT flaw detectors (instruments) and probes.
Knowledge of NDT applications is desirable, but not essential.
As the Head of Research and Development, you will have the chance to work with the world's leading NDT experts and play a key role in driving company success.
