Document Controller – SHEQ Adviser

This is an office role based in Basildon

Monday -Friday 9-5.30pm

Salary DOE £28k -£32k

You will:-

Support and maintain the Integrated Management System. Work with SHEQ/COO to develop the IMS system. This will primarily involve providing effective administrative support and where applicable working on project-based works and gaining an understanding and experience in ISO Standards. Auditing experience is desirable though training will be given if required.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the general maintenance and administration of the Management System.

To be able to confidently document control on an ADHOC basis.

Act as a support function and helpdesk for any queries relating to the Audit Management System both via email and telephone.

Complete all change management documentation as required

Work to deadlines and send out weekly and monthly reminders for all SHEQ related outputs.

To input data effectively and competently to several different systems

To assist with the documenting of insurance claims

Maintain a compliance calendar with timely reminder for colleagues and managers

Administer sub-contract and Supplier Selections process

Maintain Asset Registers for company infrastructure

Maintain a Register of Site Auditing and Monitoring

Liaise as necessary with COO/SHEQ and External Specialist for advice

Experience in:-

Working within an Engineering industry

Knowledge of Management Systems SHEQ (Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental or Energy)

Knowledge of legal compliance

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Reliable and punctual with good timekeeping skills

* Able to work well as a team but also independently without reliance on others

* Able to work in a high-pressure environment

* High level of administrative skills

* Good communication skills, with the confidence to communicate with staff of all levels

* Able to work well on more than one task at a time

* Down to earth with realistic expectations

* Willingness to take on training and expand knowledge

* Effective ICT skills in Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
