Are you an experienced School Finance Officer currently looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham?

Twenty4Seven are current recruiting an experienced School Finance Officer on behalf of an SEN school based in South Birmingham. The role will be full time, Monday to Friday to start as soon as possible. Part time will be considered but the working hours will be 30 hours minimum. This is a term time only role, but the successful finance officer will be required to work 5 to 10 days in the summer holidays to keep up with invoices.

Applicants will ideally come from a strong school finance background but applicants with a finance background in other sectors will be considered. The role could go permanent for the right candidate, but this is not guaranteed. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance officer to provide a crucial service to the school operation and be part of a driven administration team. Applicants must be readily available for work or be approaching the end of a contract. Experienced applicants with a DBS on the update service will also be at an advantage due to the urgency of the role.

Duties will include:

* Using the PSF finance system

* Processing requisitions

* Processing invoices

* Dealing with invoice queries

* Checking/receipting deliveries

* Preparing payment runs

* Processing petty cash claims

* Dealing with ParentPay transactions/reconciling statements

* Maintaining the school fund account

* General finance and admin duties, including supporting with reception when required.
