We currently have a lot of mainstream secondary and SEN schools across Birmingham that require cover on a day to day basis

Daily supply work may appeal to individuals who are looking for a flexible work life balance as working on supply you can pick what days you are available to accept bookings. Furthermore, as the lessons are already planned by the class teacher, there will be no need for you to plan or mark. Simply a case of covering the lesson, ensuring strong classroom management and supporting students.

To be considered you must have a UK Degree qualification or equivalent (any overseas degrees would need to be converted into UK equivalent) to work as a cover supervisor.

Working as a Cover Supervisor would be perfect for individuals who are aspiring to become a teacher eventually. Gaining experience on a part time OR full time basis whilst still in education or maybe taking a gap year.

The successful candidate will essentially have:

* Qualification: UK Degree or equivalent - as well as UK school/work experience

* Ideally have some form of experience working with children/young adults

* Confident providing general cover OR a specific subject within secondary schools

* Be available between 1-5 days per week

* Happy to work between the hours 8:30am-3:30pm

* DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one - we can process

Your responsibilities will be:

* To teach students to a high standard - reading lesson plan

* Follow the behavioural policies set by the school

* Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always

* Ensuring pupils stay engaged during lesson time
