Leading Golf and Leisure operator recruiting a Sales Manager

Wycombe Heights is a vibrant Golf Centre located in Loudwater, near High Wycombe, offering an array of amenities for both golfers and visitors. The Bar and Restaurant is open all day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while a spacious function room accommodates up to 100 guests for weddings, meetings, and events. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy an 18-hole main course, an 18-hole short course, and a Trackman-equipped driving range. The centre also features a newly refurbished pro shop, café, and versatile meeting spaces, making it a popular destination for both leisure and events

Position Overview:

The Sales Manager position at Wycombe Heights Golf Centre is a dynamic and leadership-driven role that involves actively engaging in sales activities, nurturing client relationships, and driving new business. The Sales Manager will be a key member of the leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping a positive working environment and contributing to the club’s overall success.

Hands-On Sales Leadership:

  • Engage in direct sales activities including prospecting, making calls, and converting leads to business.
  • Focus on building new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.

Achieving Sales Targets:

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets for events/functions, memberships, and the overall golf business.
  • Be proactive in generating new business, working through the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion.
  • Build strong client relationships to convert prospects into loyal clients or members.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a sales executive to meet KPIs and business objectives.
  • Be a role model by leading from the front, demonstrating best practices in sales.

Sales Process & Communication:

  • Ensure that all sales processes are fully understood by the team and executed consistently.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the Heads of Departments, especially regarding club functions and golf day business.
  • Increase the golf centre’s presence through active engagement on social media and within the community.
  • Use strong business acumen and confident pricing strategies to maximize revenue potential.

About You:

  • A good understanding of Golf and Club memberships.
  • Previous experience of selling events and event space
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate a proven record of delivering results
  • Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings
  • Be independently mobile and within a 30-minute drive time of Wycombe Heights
