Whitechapel Lancashire, United Kingdom The Good Care Group Full time €60,000

Up to £60,000 per annum

Hybrid role with office based in Whitechapel, London. Occasional travel to home counties.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader within the care sector to become the head of our sister company Cherished Home Care (CHC). As part of The Good Care Group and Oxford Aunts, we are leading the care industry to raise standards by providing high quality, personalised and specialist services that enable people to live in their own homes for longer. This is an opportunity to lead the growth of a new service across London and the home counties as the registered manager / head of CHC.

You will be directly accountable for leading the business and for ensuring that all employees at all levels understand the vision, mission and values. You will be responsible for a range of strategic, financial, operational, quality and people objectives. As this is a new business within The Good Care Group’s family of brands, you will have the opportunity to shape the business and really make the role your own. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced registered manager or operational leader within the care sector looking for a new project to get stuck into.

Why you should join us:

  • We offer lots of autonomy and variety, as well as industry-leading employment packages, including a great range of benefits
  • We’re rated 5.0 on Glassdoor
  • Great place to build your skills with potential development opportunities across the businesses
  • Hybrid working with an office based in Whitechapel, London. Additional travel required to home counties (expenses paid)
  • Free, confidential telephone line (employer assistance programme) to support with any of the challenges life may bring
  • Paid community engagement/volunteer days
  • Work from anywhere in Europe for up to 30 days a year
  • Plus many more

About the role:

The Head of Cherished Home Care is a senior leadership role, with complete responsibility and accountability for the CHC brand, it will require careful and thoughtful collaboration with all of the support teams within the businesses, and is effectively a small Manager Director role as you will have the freedom to shape this business.

You will be ultimately responsible for the delivery of business development, client and revenue growth as well as talent management, carer availability, quality and compliance through leadership teams spanning all our businesses. You’ll be accountable for all operational compliance measures ensuring the business is always inspection ready. You will deliver consistent core offers and operating models whilst working on the identification and delivery of new products (services) as needed to take advantage of the market or to drive profitable growth.

About you:

It’s essential you have excellent working knowledge of the care sector with proven leadership quality. You might have been a third line manager, managing people who manage other managers. You might have strong financial and commercial business acumen, with demonstrable evidence of tight cost control in a low margin environment. If you have the ability to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner, work well with others and demonstrate senior leadership qualities, we’d like to hear from you. If you’re as passionate about quality care as we are, this is a great opportunity to apply your excellent communication and relationship building skills in a business that genuinely makes a difference. As there will be some travel involved you’ll also need to be a driver with your own car.

We’re looking for:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the care sector, with proven leadership quality and experience holding registration with the CQC
  • Several years of experience working as a third line manager (managing people

who manage other managers)

  • Proven coaching and mentoring focused skills and experience
  • Strong financial and commercial business acumen, with demonstrable evidence of tight cost control in a low margin environment
  • Ability to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner, work well with others and demonstrate senior leadership qualities
  • Excellent communicator and confident in presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully influencing decision making at senior leadership levels
  • Experience of project management and programme control
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Good IT skills
  • Degree educated social care qualifications
  • As there will be some travel involved, being a driver with your own car is essential
