  • Develop and implement strategic goals for regional and national operations, focusing on efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity. Collaborate with ROMs, other Operations Directors, and senior management.
  • Work with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to set performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Provide strong leadership, managing senior managers to ensure they meet or exceed targets, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Mentor and coach managers to enhance their leadership skills and ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Collaborate with ROMs to maintain high standards and quality across the region, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Regularly review team performance with ROMs to develop and implement operational plans that meet company goals.
  • Promote employee training, development, and advancement to ensure the right capabilities and engagement for business success.
  • Analyze data to evaluate performance and provide regular reports.
  • Build strong relationships with all directors and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across the business, including departments like SHEQ, HR, Finance, IT, and Transport.
  • Work with sales and solutions teams to deliver tailored pump solutions and exceptional customer service.
  • Analyze and improve operational processes and procedures.
  • Drive strategies to optimize resource use, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Manage the regional operational budget, promoting profitability and contributing to future budget planning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory legislation regarding administration, quality assurance, and health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in regional operational management at a senior or director level within a similar industry.
  • Experience managing geographically diverse teams, demonstrating strong leadership and the ability to develop, motivate, and engage staff.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively within teams and across the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen and provide feedback.
  • Strategic vision and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience fostering a health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with good practices.
  • Ability to plan and manage operational processes, handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Background in driving growth, maximizing sales, and profitability.
  • Proven ability to set clear objectives aligned with regional goals and utilize modern platforms for employee and departmental connectivity.
  • Experience with budgets and business planning, developing solutions for profitability.
  • Ability to develop project scopes and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders.
  • Proficient in computer use, including pulling reports and analyzing data with company systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Degree or equivalent experience, with preferred qualifications in business or management.
  • Full UK driving license & willingness to travel within the UK as needed.
  • Understanding of Heavy Industry equipment such as Pumps, Rental operations, and technical requirements within Construction & Utilities is desirable.
