An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Support Assistant to join our friendly team.You will take on the rewarding role of supporting the Facilities Department based predominantly at Kendray Hospital, Barnsley but will be expected to work trust wide. Therefore a full clean driving licence is essential. .
Working closely with the Head of Facilities and Facilities Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the information systems that support the service.
You will provide supervision, support, training and development for administrative staff.
You must be flexible, reliable and hardworking with enhanced communication skills at all levels.
5 hour Facilities Administrative Coordinator
You will have wide-ranging knowledge and skills in administrative policies, procedures and practices are required.
You will provide robust business support to the Facilities Department. Co-ordinate the administrative function within the Facilities Department to deliver an efficient and effective service that supports service management.
Provide training and ongoing support and development to team members you oversee. Manage staff and resources effectively, employing high quality staff management and leadership principles for staff development, professional standards, communication and appraisals.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.

To provide day to day operational management and workload of the admin team within the Facilities Department.
To ensure a robust business support to the Facilities Department.
To have overall responsibility for developing and maintaining the local and organisational information systems to support the service delivery, evaluation and redesign alongside the operational management structure.
Experience of having supervisory and management responsibility.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
Experience working in mental health services.
Experience of developing and implementing change to improve service performance.
Extensive knowledge of the Data Protection Act and confidentiality.

Knowledge and Experience of Human Resource Policy/Procedures.

Training
Participation in continuing professional development to improve and update knowledge.


A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years (subject to the need to act with fairness and equality of opportunity, particularly where the sickness is related to a disability and/or pregnancy).


Ability to travel across the Trust as appropriate to the role.
Flexible working.

RSA Stage III Typing/Word Processing III, parts 1 and 2.
NVQ level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent.
Degree in Business Administration in the NHS.
NVQ in Customer Services.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills having the ability to design and maintain administration and monitoring systems.
Data analysis skills and the use of spreadsheets.
