As a Support Worker in the nursing home, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will provide hands-on assistance with daily activities, foster meaningful connections, and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents. If you have a passion for caring for others and creating a positive impact, we invite you to be a part of our compassionate team.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.
Participate in recreational activities and encourage residents to engage in social interactions.
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being to the nursing team.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting.
Compassionate and patient demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated caregiving team.
Basic knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
