Principal Integrated Photonics Engineer

In this role, you will lead a team of 5-7 highly-skilled professionals conducting research & development to build fast, low-loss single-photon compatible integrated photonic components and cutting-edge quantum circuit architectures. You'll be at the forefront of developing Quantum Photonic Integrated Circuits (Q-PICs) that will define the future of quantum networking and quantum computer interconnect technology.

Our client is on a mission to commercialize research from the Cavendish Laboratory and shape the future of quantum information systems. They're working on exciting technology to improve and accelerate quantum computing systems, integrating novel quantum photonic technology to form an efficient and scalable quantum networking infrastructure.

Postgraduate degree in Physics or Engineering
Experience with CAD design software (e.g., Experience with photonics device & circuit simulation software (e.g., Python) for measurement & data analysis
Commercial experience working with integrated photonics in a Quantum application or Quantum networking environment

You have a proven track record of high-quality project delivery and technical leadership
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with external partners and writing reports

You're not willing to relocate to Cambridge, UK
You lack commercial experience in integrated photonics within Quantum applications or networking
