Senior Strategist / Strategy Director Level - Shopper & Retail Experience

London

Start: ASAP

We’re seeking a highly curious, intellectually generous Senior Strategist / Planner to be part of a team that’s building a new model for strategic planning at a leading global creative agency.

The role will sit across a mix of large high street retail and shopper accounts with a focus on retail and shopper marketing.

You will be supported by a Planning Director and the UK Head of Planning, as well as closely collaborating with the relevant Account Teams.

Primarily based in their London office 2 days per week. Plus some onsite attendance at the clients' office as and when required.

The team is a high-performing and diverse group focusing on comms planning. You'll join a wider community of strategists from varied disciplines from CX, Social Analytics, Data, and eCommerce.

Experience needed:

  • Design and execute end-to-end shopper marketing campaigns maximising all touchpoints on the consumer journey, integrating online and offline
  • You are grounded in the basics of retail/shopper account planning.
  • Harness the power of consumer and shopper insights to demonstrate a profound understanding of their needs, preferences, and shopper motivations.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to devise targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives that truly resonate.
  • You'll be adept at crafting clear briefs and compelling watertight propositions grounded in consumer and shopper insight.
  • You are proficient in research (i.e., writing research briefs, and collaborating with research partners). You are also able to conduct interviews with stakeholders and customers.
  • You are fluent in shopper marketing: customer journey mapping, persona definition, and applying behavioural and mission insights.
  • Create Compelling Shopper Experiences: Leverage shopper analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to gain deep insights into shopper behaviours and trends, to identify opportunities for enhancing the overall shopper experience.
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance, measure ROI, and optimise strategies based on data-driven learnings.
  • A strong integrated background would stand you in good stead, or a solid grounding in customer engagement.
  • You'll be a clear, convincing communicator, able to work in a self-directed way and be highly motivated.
