We are currently looking a L&D Coordinator, this is an exciting new role within the HR team at the Cardiff Bay office.

JOB PROFILE

Working as part of the Group HR team the primary purpose of the Learning and Development Coordinator role is to support the Learning and Development (L&D) strategy by assisting in the coordination, management and implementation of various initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills, competencies and career development of our people. You will be a key point of contact for Learning and Development queries and bring continuous improvements to our L&D offering.

The role serves as a key facilitator in ensuring that our people have access to relevant training, resources and development opportunities to support individual growth and organisational goals. Also collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subject matter experts, the Learning and Development Coordinator will contribute to creating a culture of continuous and structured learning, innovation and talent development.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

L&D Coordination

· Schedule and coordinate training sessions, development programmes, workshops, and other learning events.

· Manage training logistics, including venue bookings and participant communications.

· Maintain training records and databases to track attendance, certifications, and completion rates.

· Support the development and implementation of communication plans to promote L&D initiatives, events, and resources effectively.

Programme Administration

· Assist in the development and maintenance of learning and development policies, procedures, and materials.

· Own the administration of our online learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).

· Monitor training budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Content Development

· Collaborate with subject matter experts to support the creation of engaging training content and materials, including presentations, guides, and online modules.

· Review and update existing training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.

· Contribute to the design of interactive and multimedia learning experiences.

Evaluation and Reporting

· Assist with the completion of training needs and skills gap analysis, driving appropriate initiatives which are suitable to address any needs and gaps.

· Collect feedback and evaluations from participants to assess the effectiveness of training programmes and learning initiatives.

· Using evaluation data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.

· Prepare regular reports on training activities, participation rates, and outcomes for management review.

Vendor Management

· Liaise with external training providers and vendors to secure resources and services as needed.

· Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners and stakeholders. Develop and maintain partnerships with external training providers, educational institutions, and industry associations to expand learning opportunities and drive innovation for the L&D/HR function.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

· A passion for learning and the professional growth of self and others.

· Experience co-ordinating programmes/tasks.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior colleagues.

· A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and development.

· Excellent IT skills.

· Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and tools.

· Proactive in approach, comfortable to use own initiative to drive and effectively manage activity.

Desirable

· Proven experience in a learning and development role.

· Experience in course writing, designing training programmes.

· Strong understanding of learning principles and the ability to apply these to create engaging and effective training programmes.

· CIPD or equivalent qualifications or working towards / intention to work towards

· A good understanding of competency frameworks, succession planning, and talent management processes.
