Job description

Companies House is looking for a highly experienced and energetic Principal Change Manager to work with the Head of Portfolio Delivery and Change implementing our change management strategy and enabling us to successfully embed change methodology and resilience into our strategic transformation Programmes.�

This role will be instrumental in supporting programme delivery, helping drive organisational change management initiatives using Prosci ADKAR methodology while working with a diverse range of stakeholders to expand internal change capability.�

Our Principal Change Managers will report to the Head of Portfolio Delivery and Change.� Working within the Portfolio Delivery and Change Function, alongside Project Delivery and Change Professionals, the Principal Change Manager will lead a team of Change Managers to collaboratively progress and implement change management methods that plan, analyse impact and assess change readiness within assigned Projects, Programmes or Service areas.���

Your work will underpin employee adoption of change whilst managing resistance across the organisation and ensuring agreed benefits are realised.� This may include leading Change Workstreams across programmes of work, leading collaboration of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure change is implemented effectively.��

You will:�

Support the Head of Portfolio Delivery and Change and the other Principal Change Managers in development and delivery of the Companies House Change Management Strategy.Provide strong leadership focused on collaboration, innovation, delivering outcomes and valuing people.Develop change practitioners, change and project skills through coaching and mentoring.�Implement the change management strategy based on a broad and deep range of change management knowledge and experience.�Work closely with Heads of Portfolio Delivery and Change and PMO and Senior Responsible Officers, Project/Programme Managers to develop and align change and programme management plans.�Ensure that change and new ways of working are embedded in the organisation by proactively empowering the change network to secure feedback, support events and celebrate success.�Assist in undertaking compliance audits and develop methods assessing residual resistance�Build�effective relationships by engaging with internal stakeholders, agreeing solutions and delivering in an effective and timely manner.�Engage and inspire staff to deliver key high-quality change management solutions at pace, using a variety of communication methods.�Challenge existing change practice and identifying new and innovative ways of working.�Assist in the development of a change ready culture to ensure that staff are agile, flexible and can proactively manage transformation initiatives.�

Person specification

We are looking for an experienced change professional with a passion for change and an understanding of supporting people through complex change journeys. You will have extensive knowledge and proven experience of using change management principles, methodologies, and tools, within complex change portfolios.�

You will be resilient, able to work at pace and under pressure with:�

A high degree of emotional intelligence and empathy. �A flexible and adaptable nature, and comfortable working in ambiguity. �Exceptional listening and communication skills. �The ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences, including senior stakeholders. �The ability to work autonomously, and be proactive and organised.Approachable and able to create an inclusive environment that brings different perspectives together. �The ability to influence/engage positively at all levels and be a confident facilitator.A growth mindset and a desire to challenge established practices. �The confidence to lead and manage a matrix team and direct reports�The ability to coordinate and prioritise large workloads across multi-functional teams and to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels will be key accountabilities in this role.�The ability to act as an objective change management subject matter expert, to assist in the delivery of our strategy and transformation in a busy and changing environment.�

The successful candidate will be:�

Skilled in the application of tailoring Prosci ADKAR at Enterprise, Programme and Project levels�Experienced in leading multi-disciplined teams and leading business change activity.�Experienced in change programmes covering culture, people, process and technology��Practised in Engagement and Communications Strategy�Proficient in the evaluation and validation of business benefits realisation�Experienced in formulating and delivering change plans and strategies focused on successfully delivering business change.�Experienced in presenting at a senior level�Practised in coaching sponsors and organisation for change implementation�Skilled in supporting transition from strategy to embedded organisational culture�Adept at running workshops to collaboratively understand problems, assess solutions and reach a group decision-making consensus.�Experienced in turning change strategy in to action�Experienced in working with waterfall, agile and tailored project methods is fundamental to this role.�

Benefits

Alongside your salary of �50,932, Companies House contributes �14,755 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.

Please note that the minimum salary does not reflect the 2023/24 pay deal and we are therefore expecting this to increase in the near future.
