Operations Assistant

We are a high-end flooring company based in London that specialises in bespoke carpets, rugs, and linoleum. We are looking for an organised, energetic and personable individual to join our small team based in our Battersea warehouse. The position's main objective is to assist the Operations Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, as well as assisting with rug deliveries and installations and managing sample orders. The right candidate will be highly motivated, able to work autonomously, and take initiative. Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail are very important to the role. You will be joining our small operations team and liaising with people throughout the company, so a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong communication skills are crucial. Main duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Assisting the Operations Manager with the processing of orders, deliveries, quality control and logistics
  • Working closely with the installation teams and driver, helping with the smooth day-to-day running of operations
  • Checking of goods coming in and out of stock
  • Checking and preparing rugs for delivery to clients
  • Installation of rugs, including cutting and laying of underlay
  • Assisting with warehousing and stock management
  • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of materials to our installers
  • Assisting with the general maintenance of the showrooms, helping with displays, hanging of rugs etc.
  • Management of sample orders, including ordering, preparing and posting, and keeping an accurate record of all orders
Requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Applicants with a full UK driving licence are preferable
