This position is responsible for the clerical day of service activities in Acute Specialist Clinics. Clerical staff provide customer service, clerical and reception related duties that strive to achieve optimal patient outcomes, adheres to the code of conduct, policies and procedures, values and goals of Eastern Health.
An opportunity exists in Acute Specialist Clinics at the Blackburn campus for a passionate and enthusiastic clerical staff member. Eastern Health Acute Specialist Clinics are a busy department of the hospital, meeting the needs of patients from the community by providing a range of specialist services. These include new patients referred from the community, review appointments for ongoing care and post admission follow up from Eastern Health’s network of hospitals.
Clerical staff are a highly regarded member of the multidisciplinary team that ensure Specialist Clinics functions well. Services offered in Acute Specialist Clinics include, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology and General surgery.
Year 10 level English written and spoken
Computer competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Advanced telephone skills and clerical skills
Ability to provide quality customer service in a friendly and professional manner to support high quality patient centred care
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment .
