Working for our organisation

The Medicine for Older People directorate’s primary focus is to provide care for our older population who may have multiple co morbidities and require complex care. We provide a comprehensive service including Stroke, Frailty, Dementia and specialist care of older persons.

In January 2019 the Trust opened an Older Persons Rapid Assessment (OPRA) Unit, providing multidisciplinary comprehensive geriatric assessment as part of a developing acute frailty pathway.
