In order to be a successful behaviour management specialist, you should have experience working with children who have challenging behaviour patterns
It is essential to have a pastoral officer with experience in monitoring the attendance, behaviour, and progress of children
Creating positive relationships between staff and children is a key requirement, and you will be working closely with the behavioural team, leadership team, and other pastoral teams in order to do so.
In the role of a pastoral officer, you are responsible for identifying concerns, risks, and barriers that are preventing students from progressing, either in terms of their mental and social well-being or in terms of their academic studies. There is something to be said about someone with strong behaviour management skills and a strong attitude towards building relationships.
