Role Type :- Contract The contract length for this role is September 2024 – March 2025 Rate:- Basic Rate is £159.46 (PAYE) and Umbrella rate is £182.Design and deliver training programmes and training materials for a range of clinical and business system applications / software. Develop and design a system of assessment and evaluation of training outcomes against learning objectives, utilising Board standard methods and tools where possible and whilst maintaining accurate records of all training carried out. To ensure that all users receive a quality training service and to improve the level of IT Skills and their appropriate application, enabling users to manage resources and ultimately their patient or business services at the optimum level.

The overall aim of the eHealth Directorate is to deliver and maintain a comprehensive integrated information, technology and record management strategy in order to ensure that the right information is provided in the right place at the right time, to support highest possible levels of diagnosis, treatment and care of patients and clients, to support continuous improvement of the health of the populations we serve and to achieve more effective integration between Health and the care services of our Local Authority partners. This includes patients’ case notes and other information for clinicians working in the community and primary care, in outpatient clinics, on the point of admission for inpatients/day cases and for review after discharge: it includes developing and supporting electronic information systems for clinical and management use: and it includes collection and analysis of data required by the Scottish Executive Health Department, for local monitoring of activity or performance, and for surveillance and protection of the health of our populations. Operations – responsible for the overall IT and Telecommunication service delivery to NHSGGC including the delivery of the underpinning technical infrastructure and applications to support the health and corporate directorates across NHSGGC to agreed KPI’s and SLA’s.
Strategy and Programmes - responsible for the development of the medium to long term eHealth Strategy and the delivery of a large number of highly complex programmes and projects including significant service reconfiguration.
Information Management – responsible for the collection and analysis of information, information governance and delivery of knowledge management services. This service comprises Knowledge Services (Libraries), Information Governance and Business Intelligence.
Health Records – delivery of Health Records services across NHSGGC, including provision of outpatient clinics.
Business and Resource Management – responsible for financial management, procurement & contract management, audit & FOI responses and overarching aspects of Human Resource and Organisational Development, Health & Safety, general Directorate wide governance and facilities management activities.

Responsible for providing quality IT Training to 34,000+ users of desktop and peripheral devices and over Organisational sites and when requested throughout NHSGGC. Delivering varying training sessions per annum for maximum achievement, either in groups or in one to one sessions and ensuring a minimum level of aptitude in the use of specific clinical or business process systems. Training to all users of IT equipment for key cornerstone IT Systems / Applications, some Microsoft Desktop Software applications and associated equipment where required in a qualitative and object-oriented manner.

Design & implement Clinical and Business IT application/systems training programmes which include (but not exclusively): Patient Management Systems including Order Communication Systems (OCS) & Immediate Discharge Letters; Core Microsoft Office Functionality.Training Design & Development
Analyse, understand and suggest development for IT systems training delivery and courses including relevant materials to produce best results eg hands-on & on-line, liaising with System Administrators or Project staff in respect to changes to reflect in training and materials used.
Develop a system of assessment and competency evaluation of training outcomes against learning objectives for all training provided and ensure feedback is collated, analysed and disseminated appropriately.
Identify resources required to deliver training and ensure availability including the continual assessment of IT equipment within IT Training Rooms at all sites.
Attend training meetings to discuss projects, training plan development and general issues with IT System Administrators, Project and other IT Support staff.
Develop and deliver core training to Doctors in Training on an annual induction or bi-annual rotation within NHSGGC.
