The Commercial Advisor / Officer role is entry level into an evolving, dynamic and progressive Commercial function allowing for career progression. Therefore, there is no requirement to have pre-existing experience in a Commercial role, but candidates must be able to demonstrate the Key Behaviours and Competencies below.
Assisting your commercial line management with commercial activities relating to a major client in the telecommunications sector.
Identifying, managing and reporting on key commercial / legal risks (legal risks to be communicated to Legal function and ongoing appropriate support / liaison to be maintained).
Reviewing, interpreting, and advising on existing contract rights and obligations (with escalation to your Commercial line management where applicable).
Supporting change management of contracts including production of contract variations.
Supporting production of regular contract reporting in line with governance and contract requirements.
Recording, ratifying and circulating commercial / negotiation meeting minutes when required.
Supporting the business by owning and performing the ongoing admin of contracts (including providing required support to your commercial line management in relation to the provision of contractual templates / tool kits, and delivering notices).
The Commercial Officer role is entry level into an evolving, dynamic and progressive Commercial function allowing you to progress your career. Therefore, there is no requirement to have pre-existing experience in a Commercial role, but candidates must be able to demonstrate:
An aptitude for contracting (being aware of the importance of a contract, aware of how offer and acceptance works, able to read legal documents and assess them).
Excellent computer literacy skills.
