The nursery is situated around libraries, children’s centres and parks which they explore with the children each week. The nursery has a very large garden which they like to use for planting herbs and bird watching. This nursery also like to do what they can for charities by raising money for GOSH, hosting Macmillan coffee mornings, red nose day/sport relief activities and the shoe box charity during Christmas. With a salary of up to £29,000 and potential occupancy bonus (paid termly) 40 hours per week over 5 days. Other incentives include:

Main Duties:
  • To work alongside the manager and deputise for her in her absence.
  • To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children from 2 to 5 years.
  • To lead a team of professional workers and to always ensure good practice.
  • To assist with the planning and organisation of staffing schedules and holiday rotas’ to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Local Authority guidelines and nursery procedures.
  • To assist with staff development and training.
  • To be flexible and work and assist other sister nurseries in the event of managerial absences to ensure the care and safety off all the children throughout the nurseries.
To apply for this role, you must have:
  • A full and relevant childcare Qualification of L3 and above
  • Experience of managing a team – i.e. as a room leader or third in charge for at least 2 years
  • 5 years Nursery experience
