Overview of role

This role is for a well-established and purpose led net-zero and software solutions advisory firm. They are looking for an experienced net-zero consultant with a strong business development track record to join the business and grow and deliver services into a new domain area for the business. The new markets could include Investment Management, Utilities, Life Science etc. but outside of their core Real Estate and I&C sectors.

Role responsibilities and requirements

  • Securing and maintaining new clients in your domian area
  • Delivering client net-zero requirements
  • Development of commercial proposals
  • Account Management and relationship building
  • Cross and upselling existing company accounts
  • Development of sector sales strategies
  • Project Management of commercial deliverables
  • Day to date operational management of projects
  • Industry networking

Key skills and qualities needed

  • Degree (or equivalent) in relevant area demonstrating qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Significant experience of new business development with clients and managing/growing accounts
  • Experience delivering net zero, sustainability, scope 3 projects
  • Track record in developing strong networks within a target sector
  • Managing bids and bid teams and delivering proposals to deadlines
  • Engaging successfully with senior stakeholders in client businesses
  • Leading, facilitating & presenting at workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Managing projects/programmes, project teams & delivering to deadlines
  • High level of competence in the use of IT, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Member of professional institution i.e. IEMA, EI, etc; Project Management qualification i.e. APMP
  • Language skills in particular German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese
  • Willingness to occasionally travel nationally and internationally
