Job Description

  • Oversee the Business Unit, with a strong emphasis on developing the sales strategy and execution.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance business performance.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, promoting a culture of high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the department's budget and control operational costs.
  • Oversee and manage risk within the department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Unit Director should have:

  • Must have experience of commercial leadership within a logistics/3PL environment.
  • Strong experience in a leadership role within the transport and distribution industry.
  • Excellent external network, with the ability to open up new revenue streams.
  • Excellent team leadership and people management skills.
  • A good understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
