We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Leader to drive diversified top-line growth for our client in the specialty chemical additives industry. The mission of this role is to leverage adjacencies from their core businesses and scale up new commercial-ready ventures derived from their New Business Development innovation funnel. This position can be based in any of their European offices (UK, France, Germany or Italy) and on a local package.
Reporting to the Global Strategic Business Unit Director, you will lead a globally based team dedicated to developing and converting prospect customers in emerging markets such as mining, marine fuel additives and crude transportation & refining. You will also be responsible for translating long-range plan strategies into actionable commercial plans, utilizing customer segmentation and targeting frameworks, and planning and implementing operations scale-up across functions. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, with a Master's or PhD being advantageous due to the technological basis of their growth model. You should have at least 5 years of experience in new business development within the specialty chemical additives sector regionally or globally, demonstrating a successful track record of developing organically profitable new business segments. We are looking for a hands-on business development leader with a hunter mindset and an entrepreneurial approach. Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills are essential.
