Senior Events Marketing Manager – International B2B Events / Conferences – London
to £55k Basic plus 15% Bonus + Great Benefits (including finish early Fridays, 5 weeks’ holiday, health, life insurance, great pension scheme, share options, season ticket loan, etc)
This role is hybrid, with c1-2 days per week in the Central London office (or more if you prefer)
NB - you must have 4+ years of B2B Events Marketing experience to be considered for this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in B2B publishing and conferences as a Senior Events Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Events, within the Global Technology sector.
There will also be opportunities to travel to these events in the US, Asia, Europe & Africa.
Requirements:
- Ideally 4+ years of B2B Events marketing experience – mainly conferences
- Team leadership experience / experience of managing a junior team member (this role will involve managing two junior marketers)
- Preferably experience with exhibitions and membership / community marketing
- Confident decision maker, with the ability to assess opportunities and risks and flag these to your line manager
- Track record of successfully designing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience using some of Marketo, Salesforce, Sprinkler, LinkedIn, Twitter, CMS systems, Canva, basic Photoshop, HTML creation
- Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
- Experience in the commercialization of events including launch events
- Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
- Thorough knowledge of customer analytics and ability to convert data into meaningful insight
- Experience managing and developing high-performing marketing plans/projects. With complete post event/project reporting.
- Willingness to develop knowledge both within the marketing discipline and the industries we serve
- Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels
- Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making
- A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to the event project team
Reporting to the Marketing Director, your responsibilities will be to:
- delegate registration and attendance across brand groups
- and execute integrated marketing campaigns (social, search, email, telemarketing, partnerships) to achieve conversion and attendee return.
- SEO, CRO for event websites and develop data-driven pricing strategies.
- inbound marketing transition with content campaigns, manage marketing database growth using Marketo.
- performance across channels, optimize customer journey for all events.
- social media strategy for brand awareness and engagement.
- delegate acquisition measurement, track & report KPIs.
- competitor activity. People Management & Financial Responsibility
- & mentor junior marketers, aligning objectives with business goals.
- event marketing budgets for optimal ROI.
- with the events team to create and deliver marketing strategies.
- best practices, ensure structured campaign analytics framework.
- regular reports (monthly) on performance across channels and events.
- & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage multiple priorities & keep stakeholders updated.
- copywriting & proofing for external marketing collateral. Key Interfaces
- with Marketing Director, Event Programming, Brand Marketing Leads, Editorial & Content teams to achieve business goals.
