Looking for a Sales Account Executive role in London? Want to work for an exciting scale-up in the ecommerce sector? Founded in 2020, but already able to share logos and case studies from top IR500 retailers, we’re now looking for the next person to join our commercial team.

You will be joining one of the most innovative retail technology companies in the UK. Our solution empowers ecommerce retailers by connecting shoppers with brand experts in a 1-to-1 on-demand personal shopping experience. Post-video shopping outcomes are increased ecommerce conversion rates, higher average order values and lower returns. All whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience for consumers.

Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your main responsibility will be to develop new business opportunities within your defined territory.

Day to day, you will be working collaboratively with the commercial team and learn how to optimise your activities to maximise your productivity and outcomes.

You will have an interest in modern retail technologies as well as the ability to own the whole sales process for your territory, from prospecting through to contract negotiation and deal closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential target companies to profile their suitability as a prospect.
  • Use a wide range of sources to research prospects in detail so that each can be targeted with specific, highly personalised communications which you will create and send.
  • Deliver such outbound communications designed to engage prospects and secure initial meetings with them.
  • Run discovery meetings to further qualify and develop prospective customers into business opportunities.
  • Build relationships and develop opportunities with prospects so that they go on to purchase and become customers of ours.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on new ideas that help overall prospecting practices within the business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM for your sales accounts.

Requirements

  • Prior sales experience, ideally within a SaaS retail technology company.
  • Understanding of retail technology, especially those relating to ecommerce.
  • Adaptable and open to new ways of working.
  • The ability to work independently on agreed tasks as well as part of a team.
  • A confident communicator who can create professional, personalised messaging both internally and externally.
  • Organised and structured in your approach.
  • Confident in your ability to sell, with examples to prove it.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot / Salesforce or similar.
  • Motivated by realistic targets and the opportunity to earn.
  • A team player, but one who can also deliver on their own defined objectives.
